Amos Mugweru, Ph.D. Analytical Chemistry My research interests involve Development of Chemical and Biological Sensors. Such sensors involves fundamental aspects of the recognition and transduction events in important molecules such as cytochrome P450’s responsible for drug metabolism. I am also developing and characterizing new encapsulation materials to activate these enzymes to respond to electrode transducers that will lead to designing new Biological and Chemical Sensors for clinical diagnostics and environmental monitoring. And I am interested in sensors based on Nanotechnology to address potential toxic molecules in our environment.
