Welcome to the Office of Multicultural, Community, and Special Academic Programs! One of the major roles of this office is to provide programs that enhance the educational experience of our students, staff and faculty through cultural awareness and community engagement. New Jersey represents one of the most culturally and linguistically diverse states in the nation, it is therefore imperative that our medical students are trained in an environment that prepares them to deliver culturally competent care to the patients they will serve. CMSRU is proud to have diversity as a core value. Our students will learn in an atmosphere that is nurturing and supportive of all backgrounds and cultures. Through the OMASAP, cultural events will be hosted, community outreach and pipeline programs will be run, and student organizations will be supported. At CMSRU, we believe that excellence can best be achieved through diversity and are committed to actively recruiting students and faculty that foster this value. Thank you for choosing to browse our web site. We hope you that find that our mission resonates with your own.
