Welcome from the Assistant Dean for Faculty and Student Assessment and Development

Dear Colleagues,

As we prepare to welcome our first class to CMSRU we are indeed grateful for the dedication and hard work of our faculty in the myriad of tasks involved in creating our school and setting the stage for an outstanding educational experience for our students.

Medical faculty have complex professional lives. In addition to the teaching, scholarship, and service responsibilities of the faculty at most academic institutions, medical faculty members often have major clinical responsibilities.  Their clinical work is a gift for us in academic medicine; it enhances our students’ learning, ensuring that our education is rooted in excellence in patient care. But balancing all of one’s professional roles can be a challenge.

These pages have been designed to provide faculty with the resources to further their own careers and enhance their professional growth. We encourage all of you to use these resources and actively engage in improving them to meet your needs.

I look forward to continuing to work with all of you in this wonderful endeavor.
