The Certificate and Medallion Award in African American Studies

Students who successfully complete the Concentration receive a Certificate in African American Studies at graduation. In addition, a Medallion Award for Excellence in African American Studies is presented to the graduating senior with (1) the highest GPA in the concentration (a GPA of 3.0 or better in the Concentration), (2) an overall GPA of 3.0 as a minimum, and (3) evidence of academic leadership or service.
