Welcome to the
College of Communication at Rowan University

The College of Communication supports undergraduate programs in Advertising, Communication Studies, Journalism, Public Relations, Radio, Television, and Film, and Writing Arts and M.A. programs in Public Relations and Writing Arts. There are minors in Journalism, Advertising, and Communication Studies too. We also sponsor multiple co-curricular activities, including national award-winning groups from our Advertising Club, the Public Relations Student Society of America, and WGLS-FM, the campus radio station. Information regarding these and other aspects of the college can be found on this website.

Dean MonroeStudent achievement serves as the signature of this college. Academic programs everywhere talk about achievement, but the focus is almost always on what students will achieve after they graduate. In this college, students achieve while they learn and learn from their achievements. In the past five years our students have won 130 regional and national awards for their original work and published and/or presented 24 original scholarly or creative works (clink the link below to access this information). I know of no other communication program in the nation that can match this track record. It underscores the quality of learning we achieve with and for our students.
As you browse our web site, I hope you get a sense of the quality and uniqueness of what we do, how we do it, and what we have accomplished. I invite you to visit the college in Bozorth and Hawthorn Halls on Rowan’s main campus and experience this very special academic community for yourself.
