Faculty Center
About the Faculty Center
Mission Statement:
The Faculty Center for Excellence in Teaching and Learning is a faculty-owned resource established in 1996 by a core group of faculty committed to excellence in teaching. Its activities are designed for the induction of new faculty and the ongoing professional development of mid-career and senior faculty. The center provides support and encouragement to faculty engaged in self-directed, collegial inquiry through workshops, discussion groups, and participation at major conferences. The mission of the Center is to foster experimentation and to strengthen and enhance teaching and learning at Rowan. The Center offers professional development focusing on the scholarship of teaching, student-centered learning, action-research, and reflective pedagogy.
