Bringing your vehicle to Campus? You will need a Permit

Instructions on Applying for a Permit

  1. Visit http://www.ThePermitStore.com
  2. Type “ROWAN” as your parking destination.
  3. Select “ROWAN UNIVERSITY” from the list that follows.
  4. Click “APPLY” to apply for a parking permit.
  5. Read the “TERMS & CONDITIONS: and check “I AGREE”.
  6. On the same page, enter your email address and choose a password.  This will be the login information you will use to update your account and place future orders.
  7. Enter your personal information including NAME, TELEPHONE NUMBER(S), BANNER ID# (STUDENT ID# ) and MAILING ADDRESS.
  8. From the scroll down menu marked ‘PURCHASING AS”, select your customer type (i.e. COMMUTER, RESIDENT, FACULTY/STAFF, etc.) and complete the remaining fields.  Click “CONTINUE”.
  9. Choose the permit you would like to purchase and click “BUY”.  If you do not know what permit you should select, please contact PARKING SERVICES for assistance.
  10. Enter your license plate and vehicle information and then click “ADD THIS VEHICLE”.  (NOTE:  You may add up to 3 vehicles per permit.)
  11. Click “OKAY” to continue.  You will view your information.  Then Click the green “CONTINUE” button on the order summary screen and payment screen.  Please select your payment method and enter in any required payment information.  (NOTE:  If you pay by check, it may take up to a month to receive your permit.)
  12. The following screen will provide you with an ORDER NUMBER.  You may print this for your records.  At this time you may Click “GET TEMPORARY PERMIT” to print out a temporary permit to place in your vehicle.  You will also receive an email confirmation when your order has been approved.
  13. Click “FINISH” to complete your order.
  14. When you receive your parking permit in the mail, you will also receive written instructions on how to ACTIVATE your parking permit.
  15. Activation simply requires that you log on to www.ThePermitStore.com using your email address and case sensitive password and click on ACTIVATE button.
