High School Scholar Program

NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR SUMMER 2013!

DEADLINE FOR APPLICATIONS: April 26, 2013

Rising 12th graders in area high schools may be eligible to participate in the five-week Intensive Summer Program. This program is an academic English program which prepares incoming freshmen for the rigors of academic coursework. Students who are eligible for the High School Scholar Program can be any level of English language proficiency.

Students will meet for five weeks during the summer and attend academic English classes from Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m..

Program Requirements:

• minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
• two recommendations from teachers and/or guidance counselors
• demonstrated desire to go to college
• must be entering the 12th grade the September following the summer program
