Program Overview:

The IELP at Rowan at Camden has a forty year history of teaching academic English and providing international students, immigrants and newcomers access to higher education.

The IELP is a non-credit program designed for students who want to go to university. The curriculum uses an integrated language and thematic approach which allows the students to develop academic content knowledge in a classroom environment that is open to exploration of ideas and language development.

Testing Dates:

Rowan University's ELP placement test is used to place students in the appropriate level of the program.

Please e-mail Rowan English Language Programs or call 856-361-2914 to sign up for one of the testing dates below:

  • For Summer 2014:
    • Friday, April 11, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Room 424
    • Friday, May 2, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Room 424

Residents and citizens of the United States , please bring the following with you when you come for testing:

  1. Photo Identification (permanent resident card, driver's license, social security card, passport, etc.)
  2. Proof of high school graduation (diploma and/or transcripts). If you attended college in your country, please bring those documents also.
  3. If you are interested in applying for our tuition grant program, you must bring your or your guardian's tax forms from the previous year.

International students will take the test upon arrival at the university. Be sure to contact English Language Programs with your arrival date.
