Regalia orders must be submitted to the bookstore by April 26.
Cap and gown rentals for faculty and staff are facilitated through the Rowan Bookstore. Detailed written information and an order form will be sent to each department at the end of March. The bookstore does not guarantee the correct hood color, however ordering by April 25 increases your chances of receiving specific colors. Arrive early—Route 322 closes from Bowe Blvd. to Main St. at 9 a.m.

Alternate routes to the Rowan campus

Via US Route 322 West
Please follow posted signs for US Route 322 West and proceed to campus where an officer will most likely direct you to park in Lot J, U or A.

Via US Route 322 East
(NJ Turnpike, Commodore Barry Bridge, I-295), please follow signs for 322 East to campus where an officer will most likely direct you to park in Lot A, D or C.

Via Route 47 (Delsea Drive) North and South
From Route 47, make a left (or right) on Donald Barger Blvd. Follow Barger to Carpenter Street where an officer will direct you to park in one of the North lots (D, C or B).

Via US Route 55 Exit 48 (Least congested route)
From Exit 48, proceed North on Route 641 (Ellis Street) to High Street. Make a left on High and find residential parking on High, Victoria, New, Holly or Oakwood. Posted time restrictions are lifted just for Commencement day. Please be careful not to block driveways and intersections.

Via Route 55 Exit 50A
From Exit 50A, take US Route 322 West to campus where an officer will most likely direct you to park in Lot A, C or D. Please note: this route is the most heavily travelled and traffic congestion and delays can be significant.

Via US Route 55 Exit 53
From Exit 53, follow Route 553 South (Woodbury-Glassboro Road) through Pitman to Route 47 (Delsea Drive). Make a right onto Delsea. At the first traffic light make a right on Donald Barger Blvd. Follow Barger to Carpenter Street where an officer will direct you to park in one of the North lots (D, C or B).

Parking
Parking is at a premium—the Borough of Glassboro allows parking on streets adjacent to the University for this day. If possible, park in your normal parking space and walk to each ceremony. Lot P (closest to the University Green) is closed to employees. This lot is used for handicapped and special guest parking.

Handicapped parking
Lots P & R are reserved for handicapped parking. If you need a handicapped parking space, please contact the Academic Success Center at (856) 256-4260.

Dress
You will be in direct sun for approximately 1.5 hours. Sunscreen is advisable.

Dress appropriately for weather conditions---if hot weather is predicted you may not want to wear a jacket under your robe. Please leave all personal items locked in your office!

Line-up
Faculty and staff line-up starts at 9:30 a.m., behind the audience near Whitney Avenue. Signage will designate where you are to assemble. Pat Mosto and Bob Zazzali will coordinate the line-up.

Platform
A bottle of water will be under each seat and a program will be on each seat.

After the main ceremony
On completion of the main ceremony, you have approximately 20 minutes to get to your secondary ceremony.

Food options on campus
Marketplace Café, Student Center - Full Breakfast Buffet from 7:30 a.m. to noon.

Market Basket Convenience Store, Student Center - Open from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Bottled water and snacks will be available at kiosks throughout the campus.

Departure routes

Exiting Lot A (US Route 322 East only)
To facilitate the flow of traffic departing campus, no right turns onto US Route 322 West exiting Lot A will be permitted after Commencement. To travel West out of Lot A, you must exit at the rear of the lot (the “S” road). Proceed to the stop sign, turn left and at the next stop sign turn left onto Bowe Blvd. Follow Bowe to the traffic light and turn right onto US Route 322 West.

Exiting Lot D, M-1 (gravel lot), C and A (via “S” road)
To facilitate the flow of traffic departing campus, no one may exit Lot D onto Bowe Blvd. Please proceed to Wilson Road to exit. To get to Route 322 East, make a right onto Bowe Boulevard and a right onto Carpenter Street. To get to Route 322 West, make a left onto Bowe Boulevard and a right onto Route 322.

Exiting Lot B, M, W and Robinson Circle
To facilitate the flow of traffic, these lots will exit onto Carpenter Street. Wilson Road will be blocked at Robinson Circle.

Inclement weather
In the event weather prevents an outdoor ceremony on the University Green, the main ceremony will be cancelled and the secondary ceremonies will be held at the following inside locations and times:
