Day of Information

Important Commencement 2014 update:
Graduate Commencement main ceremony moved to Wackar Stadium.

Until just a few days ago, the Rowan University community expected to celebrate the 89th Commencement with both Graduate and Undergraduate ceremonies on the University Green at Bunce Hall. But with higher-than-ever numbers of students participating in Commencement, we expect to host more than 20,000 students and guests during the course of our two days of ceremonies.

The University Green is simply too small to accommodate everyone safely and comfortably. Thus, our Graduate Commencement ceremony will be held on Thursday, May 15, at 10 a.m. at Wackar Stadium.

We apologize for the late notice on the venue change. We believe the academic milestones we celebrate at Commencement should be shared with as many loved ones and friends as possible. Fortunately, Wackar Stadium will be able to accommodate all students and guests, and we will maintain our tradition of open seating at the Graduate Commencement main ceremony without ticketing.

Graduating students, please remember to reserve your guests' secondary ceremony tickets at

Visit often for updates and answers to frequently asked questions. Additional questions may be sent to

Our Commencement ceremony for all graduate-level programs will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2014, beginning at 10 a.m. at Wackar Stadium, on the corner of Bowe Boulevard and Carpenter Street.

Secondary college ceremonies follow the main ceremony beginning at 11:30 a.m. All secondary college ceremony agendas include hooding, photos and diploma cover distribution.

Doctoral degree candidates process in with their hoods draped over the right arm.
