Please note that the distance between the parking lots and ceremony location can be long and strenuous for elderly or mobility-impaired guests. Please carefully review the information below and make the necessary arrangements to ensure a safe and memorable Commencement day. Special needs accommodations are available for individuals with ANY of the following:
If your needs are not described above, please contact the Academic Success Center at (856) 256-4259 to request accommodations. Parking and parking passes Special needs parking spaces are reserved in Lot M across from the main entrance to Esbjornson Gymnasium. Parking passes are required for these spaces. Please contact Elaina Surace in the Parking Office at (856) 256-4574 or suracem@rowan.edu before April 30, 2012. Passes are given to guests that qualify on a first-come, first-served basis. Drivers may also drop off special needs guests to the Esbjornson Gymnasium main entrance where guests will be assisted to the seating area. Seating Seating for special needs guests is located in the first two rows after the graduates in Esbjornson Gymnasium. Seating is limited to the special needs person and one companion. Reservations are not required, but the area fill up quickly. Please arrive early. American Sign Language interpreters If a sign language interpreter is needed for the Graduate Commencement ceremony, please contact the Academic Success Center at (856) 256-4259. Wheelchair rental Rowan University does not provide wheelchairs for the Commencement ceremonies. If you need a wheelchair, please make your own arrangements prior to the ceremony.
