Graduates and guests must provide their own umbrellas and/or raincoats. In the event of a severe rainstorm, Commencement will move indoors to the following locations and times:
**All majors except for History and Law/Justice Each graduate will receive four (4) rain ceremony tickets, except for the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences graduates who will only receive three (3) rain ceremony tickets. Due to capacity limitations and fire regulations, tickets are required for entry and no extra tickets are available. Students should pick up their rain ceremony tickets in Memorial Hall between Monday, April 23 and Thursday, April 26 from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Students must bring two forms of photo identification. If an undergraduate student cannot pick up his or her tickets on those days, then a self-addressed, stamped #10 regular business envelope must be sent to the Office of University Events in Shpeen Hall with a copy of two photo IDs by April 18. NO TICKETS MAY BE PICKED UP AFTER APRIL 26. Students who secured special needs parking accommodations should still have their family members drop off or park in Lots P or J. Golf carts and shuttles will be available to escort family members to their student's secondary ceremony location. Time changes or cancellations for inclement weather will be announced beginning at 7 a.m. on May 11 through:
A Board of Trustee representative and the Rowan University President and Provost will confer degrees at each individual ceremony. The dean of each college will explain the procedure prior to the start of each rain ceremony. |
