College of Business

Ceremony location: Student Recreation Center

Approximate start time: 12 p.m.

Approximate end time: 1:30 p.m.

Ticket information: Participants will receive three (3) tickets for the College of Business secondary ceremony. No extra tickets are available.

Line up and processional: Students will report to the first floor excersice room in the Student Recreation Center immediately following the main ceremony and line up according to academic department:

Accounting/Finance
Management/Entrepreneurship/Human Resource Management
Marketing/Business Information Systems

Honor students will sit in the assigned seats to the left of the stage. When entering the Rec Center, each student will receive a card and a pencil provided by the photographer. Each student will write his or her name on the card—phonetically, if it is difficult to pronounce. As each major is called, graduates will stand, walk to the stage and give their name card to Margaret Van Brunt, who will announce each name. Graduates will proceed across the stage and receive a diploma cover from the Dean. Graduates will then return to their seats.

A photographer from GradImages will photograph each graduate while receiving a diploma and after leaving the stage. The photographer will determine each student's name and placement in line by collecting the name cards at the end of the ceremony. GradImages will send information directly to graduates about the purchase of photos.

Marshals are on hand to direct the process from beginning to end.

Rain ceremony: In the event of a severe rainstorm, the College of Business Commencement ceremony will be held in the Student Recreation Center starting at 6:00 p.m. Students should arrive no later than 5:00 p.m. to line up. Tickets are required for this ceremony. Each Commencement participant will receive three (3) tickets. No extra tickets are available.

The Dean will explain the rain procedure schedule at the beginning of the Commencement ceremony.

College of Communication & Creative Arts

Ceremony location: Esbjornson Gymnasium

Approximate start time: 12 p.m.

Approximate end time: 1:30 p.m.

Ticket information: Participants will receive three (3) tickets for the College of Communication & Creative Arts secondary ceremony. No extra tickets are available.

Line up and processional: Students will report to the Esbjornson Gymnasium immediately following the main ceremony. Please line up by major.

Before the processional, each student will receive a 3x5 index card and a pencil. Each student will write his or her name on the card—phonetically, if it is difficult to pronounce—and the card will be collected as the student walks up the steps to the stage area. The announcer will read each student's name as he or she proceeds across the stage and shakes hands with the Dean. Graduates will then return to their seats.

A photographer from GradImages will photograph each graduate while receiving a diploma and after leaving the stage. The photographer will determine each student's name and placement in line by collecting the name cards at the end of the ceremony. Ceremony location: Wackar Stadium

Approximate start time: 12 p.m.

Approximate end time: 1:30 p.m.

Ticket information: The College of Education secondary ceremony does not require tickets. Tickets are required if inclement weather forces the ceremony to move inside.

Line up and processional: Students will report to the stadium/football field immediately following the main ceremony. Please sit according to major. Signs will be posted and marshals will be in place to help graduates locate their designated areas.

Before the processional, each student will receive a 3x5 index card and a pencil. Each student will write his or her name on the card—phonetically, if it is difficult to pronounce—and the card will be collected as the student walks up the steps to the stage area. The announcer will read each student's name as he or she proceeds across the stage and shakes hands with the Dean. Graduates will then return to their seats.

Tickets are required for this ceremony. Each Commencement participant will receive three (3) tickets. No extra tickets are available.

College of Engineering

Ceremony location: Rowan Hall Green

Approximate start time: 12 p.m.

Approximate end time: 1 p.m.

Ticket information: The College of Engineering secondary ceremony does not require tickets. Tickets are required if inclement weather forces the ceremony to move inside.

Line up and processional: Students will report to the Rowan Hall Atrium immediately following the main ceremony, and line up according to major (signs will be posted along the two wings of the first floor).

College of Engineering administrators, faculty and staff members assemble in the center Atrium to process in the following order: gonfalon carrier, Dean, Associate Dean, ChE faculty, CEE faculty, ECE faculty, ME faculty and marshals. Graduating students will follow the marshals onto the Rowan Green.

Following the Dean’s welcome speech and student speaker’s address, graduates will be called by discipline to the platform to receive their diplomas. As the student proceeds to the platform, he or she will hand an index card with his or her name printed on it to the reader. The announcer will read each student's name as he or she proceeds across the stage and shakes hands with the Dean and platform guests. Graduates will then return to their seats.

Tickets are required for this ceremony. Each Commencement participant will receive three (3) tickets. No extra tickets are available.

The Dean will explain the rain procedure schedule at the beginning of the Commencement ceremony.

Note: Balloons and strollers are not permitted in Pfleeger Concert Hall. Balloons obstruct the view of other guests. Strollers block the aisles creating a fire hazard. Please leave both of these items at home or you may leave them in the Pfleeger Concert Hall lobby. Rowan University is not responsible for any items left unattended in the lobby.

Ceremony location: Pfleeger Concert Hall, Wilson Hall

Approximate start time: 12 p.m.

Approximate end time: 1:30 p.m.

Ticket information: Participants will receive three (3) tickets for the College of Performing Arts secondary ceremony. No extra tickets are available.

Line up and processional: Students will report to Room 153 in Wilson Hall immediately following the main ceremony. Please line up according to major.
