Doctoral Program in Educational Leadership (Ed.D.)

Dr. Virginia Doolittle
doolittle@rowan.edu
856-256-4500, ext. 3637

Created specifically for the educational professional employed in a K-12 or higher education setting, this program focuses on developing true leaders. Graduates are prepared to assume leadership roles in schools, colleges, universities, educational associations, and educational advocacy groups.
The program helps students:

  • develop a deep understanding of leadership theory,
  • understand the context in which schools and colleges operate,
  • apply theory and contextual knowledge to educational problem solving,
  • develop analytical and communication skills, and
  • foster and sustain excellence.

This program uses a cohort approach and accommodates the working schedules of students. The curriculum is structured so that it is possible to take classes on a part-time basis in the initial phase of the program. Enrollment in a maximum of three courses on a non-matriculated basis is also possible in the initial phase. There are specific admission requirements for this program. For more information, please call Elizabeth Henderson at 856-256-4744 or e-mail her at hendersone@rowan.edu.
