Graduate Applications Click on the links below for more information
Most Rowan University graduate applications are accepted at any time of the year (rolling admissions). However, School Psychology, Counseling in Educational Settings, Learning Disabilities, Reading Education,Writing and the Masters of Science in Teaching have established application deadlines, Oct. 15 for Spring admission decisions and Feb. 15 for Fall admission decisions. Mental Health Counseling has only one deadline: Feb. 15 for fall admissions. For programs with rolling admissions, completed applications, including required scores, should be submitted at least two months before the beginning of the semester in which the student wishes to become matriculated. Applicants who are also applying for a Graduate Assistantship must submit all application materials no later than March 15 to receive full consideration. Graduate Assistantships Click here to download the Graduate Assistantship application. Can I Take Courses Before Being Accepted into a Program? Students who have not formally applied for admissions and have, therefore, not been accepted, are considered non-matriculated. As such they are permitted to enroll in no more than nine credits of selected graduate courses (with permission of the academic advisor in some programs). Non-matriculated students must also provide evidence of the award of at least one undergraduate degree at registration and are not permitted to register until the second day of in-person registration during the semester in which they plan to take courses. Also, they may not register for classes as a full-time student in any semester. Credits earned by non-matriculated students in excess of nine may not be applied to a graduate degree or certification. |
