What you need to know about Student Health Insurance New Jersey state law requires all matriculated full-time students to have health insurance. All matriculated full-time students who have not completed a waiver form showing proof of their own health insurance by NO LATER than September 2008 are automatically enrolled in the Student Health Insurance plan provided by UnitedHealthcare and charged a fee of $158 to their student bill. If you have your own insurance, you may fill out a waiver form online to have the fee and coverage discontinued, but this must be completed by September for fall entry and by January for spring entry. Part-time or non-matriculated students have the option to purchase health insurance through the university. Please review your health insurance coverage and choose your plan carefully. To waive the Rowan University insurance coverage and its cost, follow these steps: Go to Student Self-Service: 1. Click "Access Banner Services (secure area)" 2. Enter your Rowan ID number and PIN 3.
