Student Diversity

Diversity Programs at Rowan

The concept of diversity encompasses acceptance and respect.  It means understanding that each person is unique, and recognizing our individual differences.  Rowan University’s mission is to have an environment in which highly qualified, motivated and diverse faculty, staff, and students build a community that values diversity. Rowan University not only takes great pride in the rich cultures that individuals bring to our campus, but we also ask everyone to explore other cultures while providing a safe, positive and nurturing environment to do so. Rowan University sponsors many programs and initiatives that allow students to be immersed in a culturally diverse environment.

The Achieving the Dream Scholarship Program was established in 2012 and is a joint program of Strategic Enrollment Management and Student Life at Rowan University. ATD provides both financial and program support to students as they transition from high school to college. ATD not only works to add diversity to the Rowan university campus but to arm students with the crucial information that will help them manage the rigorous and challenging layers of life at Rowan, thus ensuring their successful completion of college.
