If your calling is to make an impact on children, Rowan's Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education is for you! Elementary Education qualifies students to teach all subject areas from kindergarten through grade six. As a dual major program, Rowan Elementary Education majors engage in a nationally accredited teacher preparation program and a content-area program in one of 11 subjects: American Studies, Chemistry, English, Geography, History, Liberal Studies: Humanities/Social Science, Liberal Studies: Literacy Studies, Mathematics, Math/Science, Spanish, or Writing Arts. You will graduate with two degrees: a B.A. in Education and a B.A. in your dual major. You also have the opportunity to pursue any of the following additional endorsements: 1) a middle school endorsement, so you may teach in your content area at the middle school level; 2) a Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) endorsement, so you are certified to teach students with special needs in a variety of settings; and/or 3) a Reading endorsement, so you are qualified as a teacher of Reading.
