COLLEGE OF COMMUNICATION & CREATIVE ARTS

Overview

Welcome to the College of Communication & Creative Arts

The College of Communication & Creative Arts provides students with an understanding of communication and creative arts—both in theory and practical application—to empower them in their future careers, civic activities and personal endeavors. With 1,700 students pursuing CCCA majors within our six academic departments, we offer a robust breadth of course offerings that allow students to find their passion, develop skill sets and build careers. Yet, our College maintains a small-town, community atmosphere, as students participate in numerous clubs and faculty mentor students.

Our home is nestled in downtown Glassboro, with our main academic building located at 301 High Street—just a short walk from Rowan Boulevard. We invite students and community members to peruse the Rowan Art Gallery located on our first floor, which features contemporary art by emerging and established artists.

Students participate in a wide range of student clubs and experiential learning opportunities. We are proud to share two highlights: our PR club, the Anthony J. Fulginiti Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA), is the chapter with the most awards in the country; and our radio station, WGLS-FM, has won over 220 awards in its 50+ year history.

We also bring dynamic speakers on campus, giving students, faculty and community members alike the opportunity to learn from, and feel inspired by, notable professionals in the fields of communication and creative arts. Previous speakers have included author Neil Gaiman, documentary filmmaker Ken Burns and photographer and Rowan CCCA graduate Kyle Cassidy.

Accreditation

Our art program is accredited by the National Schools of Art and Design. Rowan University's Public Relations program was the 16th program in the country to receive CEPR (Certified in Education for Public Relations) accreditation from the Public Relations Society of America.

Other communication programs hold accreditation through Middle States Commission on Higher Education as part of Rowan University's accreditation.
