Bring Your Child To Work Day

Bring Your Child To Work Day

After a successful and well-received inaugural program, we are thrilled to offer the program again for 2017!

This year’s National Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day is Thursday, April 27.

We were delighted to hear such positive feedback and excellent suggestions from parents. Once again, our goal is to expose our children to many different careers here at Rowan. Those children who attended last year will have the opportunity to experience a completely different set of activities. This year’s program will include hands-on, kid-friendly experiments with the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering, a scavenger hunt with the College of Education, and pictures with the Prof. In the morning, children and volunteers will have the opportunity to visit the Edelman Fossil Park of Rowan University and dig for their very own 65 million year old fossil! The day will end with a “sweet treat” social with parents.

The program is open to the children of Rowan faculty and staff in grades K-8. Due to limited space, we are accepting the first 100 registrants. Faculty/staff members must be the parent/legal guardian of the child. Registrants will be broken down into smaller groups based on grade. The program will run from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch will be with the parents on your own from 12:00 p.m. to 12:45 p.m. You may purchase a lunch voucher at the Marketplace for $5, pack a lunch, eat elsewhere on campus, or visit one of the wonderful eateries in Glassboro. Please note that you must pick up your child for lunch as we are unable to provide supervision during that time.

We are excited to offer this program once again and look forward to a great day!

REGISTRATION IS FULL. Thank you for your interest. We have reached capacity for participation.
