Orientation is Around the Corner

After you have submitted your Enrollment Confirmation and fee, detailed information about student orientation will be sent to your Rowan email account. Students entering Rowan in the fall semester should expect this email in March. Spring admits should expect this email in November. General information about student orientation is listed below.

Orientation will introduce you to the culture, traditions, and expectations of Rowan University. Attendance and participation at a new student orientation program is required for all new first year and transfer students. Orientation provides you with information and access to resources you need to have a successful college experience. You will also meet with an academic advisor who will help you understand your academic program and required courses, and finalize your class schedule.

Orientation dates are available in December/January for spring (January) entrance and May, June, July, and August for fall (September) entrance based on your academic major. Reservations are required and made on a first-come, first-served basis. The dates available for your academic program will be presented to you by the online reservation system.

A non-refundable orientation fee is required to confirm your reservation. The fee for the one-day December, January, May, or June Orientation programs is $100. The fee for the two-day June or July Orientation programs is $215. The fee covers meals and materials for the student and up to two parents or adult family members attending orientation. The two-day program fee also covers overnight accommodations for the student in University housing. The Final Fall/International Orientation (August) fee will vary based on admit type and housing status. You will not pay this fee until you confirm an orientation date (several payment options will be accepted).
