Our Admissions Office carefully considers each application it receives and selects candidates who will be academically successful, contribute to student life and benefit most from the Rowan experience. This guide is to help you prepare your application.

Freshman Application Checklist

Starting the Process

Go To commonapp.org and add Rowan University to your "My Colleges" list (once logged in, search for "Rowan University" and follow steps).
Complete the Common Application, the Rowan University question set, and the Recommenders and FERPA section. Invite your recommenders before submitting your application electronically.
If you are mailing your application please mail to the Office of Admissions
Have your guidance counselor and teachers submit all documents electronically (If mailed, documents can be printed through the commonapp.com but please include students official name)
Submit your Application using your official name on all documents.
Review specific requirements if you are applying to an Art, Theatre/Dance, or Music program.

Save a copy of your application as a pdf
Confirm you have successfully submitted your application in the "my colleges" tab

Checking Application Status

Reviewing applications takes time. To check the status of your application please email admissions@rowan.edu or call 877.787.6926

Freshman Application Components

Freshman/First Year Common Application, Fall 2017 application due April 1st (see application calendar and fees)
Application Fee, $65  (see all application deadlines and fees)
Freshman Reactivation Request (to reactivate and be reconsidered from previous semester's application)
Official SAT/ACT scores
Official High School Transcripts
Recommendations/Teacher Evaluations
Personal Essay
Portfolio or Audition, if applying to an Art, Theatre/Dance, or Music Program
