Exit Interview Procedure

Employee feedback is critical to the success and growth of Rowan University. Departing staff and/or faculty are encouraged to participate in an exit interview with the Human Resources department before the departure from the university. With your participation, we can better understand the concerns of our faculty/staff and their overall experience with our organization. For questions, concerns, or to schedule an appointment for an exit interview, please contact Betsy McAteer at 856-256-4134 ext. 4306.

What to expect:

  • An exit interview checklist will be complete at the time of the interview. The main topics that will be discussed include health benefits, pension, retirement, and any questions/concerns you may have.
  • All property belonging to Rowan University should be returned at the time of the interview or to an immediate supervisor/department secretary on the last day on campus.
  • An exit interview survey can be completed before or during the interview. This will provide helpful feedback about your experience at Rowan University
  • During the exit interview you will be given the opportunity to voice any concerns you may have, identify workplace environment issues, or make any suggestions. Your input is valuable to us and we appreciate your recommendations.

Please note: The exit interview process is confidential. However, if the information discussed violates Rowan University rules or policies, the information will be brought to the office of Equity and Diversity.
