Since employment is contingent upon the results of the background check, the process needs to be completed in a timely manner. Positions will not be held open for failure to follow the procedures for the fingerprint check. Candidates that have been fingerprinted by another employer must be fingerprinted by Rowan. The University CANNOT accept fingerprint results from another employer. Exemptions: Students enrolled at Rowan are not covered by this policy. The University will attempt to make this process as easy as possible. Fingerprinting must be completed and the results received by Rowan before the start of employment. New hires will be working directly with Sagem Morpho, Inc. New hires should follow the steps below to fulfill the fingerprinting requirement:
In certain instances operational or business necessity may require a candidate start prior to the completion of the fingerprint check if the scheduled appointment is not available within a reasonable time frame. These situations are considered on a case by case basis by Human Resources. |
