Welcome to Rowan University! Human Resources hosts a New Employee Orientation (NEO) program to assist new employees with successfully acclimating to the University. The NEO program consists of two parts: the live, in-person session and the training requirements to be completed within 30 days of attending the live session. Our program focuses on providing the necessary information to allow new employees to effectively transition to their new roles and the Rowan community.
Live In-Person Session:
NEO is held on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month (with the exception of holidays) for new employees of Rowan University. Orientation begins with a 4 hour live, in-person session (8:00am to 12:00pm) that covers Rowan's history, present, and future, as well as the university's mission. Employees will also participate in discussions about required trainings, employee perks, and health and pension benefits offered through the State of NJ. Attendees will meet other new employees and learn how their roles fit into the campus community.
NEO is held in the Training Room in Linden Hall on the Glassboro Campus. If you are coming from another campus, information about parking can be found here. If you are unsure of where to park, it is best to enter campus at the Welcome Gate located on Rt. 322.
Human Resources will send an email invitation to invite new employees to NEO, typically during their first two weeks of employment.
