Question

How do I save files to the Public area on Velocity?

Answer

By default, all student have Read Only rights to the entire Public drive (P:) on the Velocity server. Permission to write or modify files to a specific directory on the Public area are granted at the request of faculty members. Faculty can email support@galaxy.rowan.edu with a request for select students to be granted read/write permission to specific directories on the Public drive. Faculty should inlcude the Rowan Account usernames (or rowan email addresses) of the students that need access.

The Public area may be used as swap space for classes, projects, clinics, academic organizations, etc. More information on the Public drive and the College of Engineering policy for it can be viewed by clicking here.
