Position Announcement Position: Assistant Professor, Communication Studies (tenure-track), College of Communication Department: Communication Studies Description: The Department of Communication Studies at Rowan University invites applications for a full-time assistant professor in our Interpersonal and Organizational Communication track. The successful candidate will teach Interpersonal Communication, as well as Communication Theory, Introduction to Communication Studies, and courses in the candidate's area of interest. Ability to teach additional courses in our core curriculum is a plus. Qualifications: Ph.D in Communication or related area by September 1, 2010 is required. Experience in college teaching required. Candidates must also demonstrate potential to conduct and publish research. Starting Date: September 1, 2010 Salary: Competitive General Info: The Department of Communication Studies is dedicated to a collegial atmosphere in which both intellectual curiosity and a sense of humor thrive. The department's atmosphere reflects the invigorating environment at Rowan University which is a vibrant, comprehensive state institution with a present enrollment of over 11,000 students. The university is located in a suburban, residential setting in southern New Jersey and is less than 20 miles from Philadelphia. All positions are contingent upon budget appropriations.
