NUMBER CLUE PUZZLES

HOW TO PLAY NUMBER CLUE PUZZLES MATERIALS: One set of the digits 0 - 9. Glue to poster board and then cut these apart. A number puzzle from booklet or make-up your own to use. TO PLAY: (1) Line up the digit pieces in order 0 to 9. (2) Player One reads the clue aloud to Player Two. (3) Player Two removes the digits from the digit pieces and forms the answer. (4) Once a digit is used in an answer it may not be used again in a subsequent answer. (5) Play continues until all clues are read and all digits are used with Player Two lining up answers in a vertical column. (6) When all clues are finished, Player Two goes back to the answers and repeats back the clue given for each answer.
EXAMPLE GAME: Digits: 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 Clue 1: Letters in the alphabet Answer: 26 Digits left: 0,1,3,4,5,7,8,9 Clue 2: Sides on a quadrilateral Answer: 4 Digits left: 0,1,3,5,7,8,9 Clue 3: Largest single digit prime number Answer: 7 Digits left: 0,1,3,5,8,9 Clue 4: A number with factors:1,2,4,5,8,10 & 20 Answer: 80 Digits left: 1,3,5,9 Clue 5: The product of 7 and 5 Answer: 35 Digits left: 1,9 Clue 6: Three squared Answer: 9 Digits left: 1 Clue 7: Neither prime nor composite Answer: 1 Now, Player Two must recall the clues given for: 26, 4, 7, 80, 35, 9, and 1.
