the House; and
pertinent decisions of the Speakers and other presiding officers
of the House and Committee of the Whole interpreting the rules and
other procedural authority used in the House of Representatives.

Biographical Directory of the United States Congress, 1774-2005 - provides the biographies of thousands of members of the Senate and House who have served from the first through the 108th Congress. Details the changing face of Congress and lists members by their full name, and for the first time nicknames or initials. Also listed are territorial delegates, resident commissioners, and vice presidents.
U.S. Congressional Bibliographies (North Caroline State University) - enumerate and describe meetings held by Congressional committees since 1985, those for which printed transcripts are issued, and those that remain unprinted. Its sources are the Congressional Record's "Daily Digest," with bibliographic information supplied by the U.S. Senate Library and GPO’s Catalog of U.S. Government Publications. Its primary goal is to be an authoritative, exhaustive reference source of meetings held and documents (hearings, prints, and publications) released by House and Senate committees.
Congressional Budget Office - legislative agency charged with projecting the budgetary effects of proposed legislation and providing Congress with objective, timely, nonpartisan analyses needed for economic and budget decisions

Congressional Record Daily Digests - serves as a table of contents for the House and Senate actions reported in the issue and for statements published in the Extensions of Remarks of the Congressional Record. The Daily Digest begins with highlights of the day's action, followed by a summary for the Senate and a summary for the House. Each entry references the Senate or House page number where the item is reported.
Bound Congressional Record - the official record of the proceedings and debates of the United States Congress, published daily when Congress is in session. At the end of each session of Congress, all of the daily editions are collected, re-paginated, and re-indexed into a permanent, bound edition. This permanent edition, commonly referred to as the Bound Congressional Record, is made up of one volume per session of Congress, with each volume containing multiple parts. The online version is fully searchable and browseable.

Congressional Research Service - Open CRS - Locate reports from the Congressional Research Service on a variety of topics relevant to current political events.
Congressional Research Service Reports - The University of North Texas (UNT) Libraries archive of 8,000 reports from the Congressional Research Service (CRS). UNT has used a modified form of the free, open source Keystone Digital Library system to allow their collection to be searchable and browseable.
Conference Reports - (GPO Access) - A conference report is a compromise on legislation that is negotiated between the House and Senate via conference committees. It is printed and submitted to each chamber for its consideration, such as approval or disapproval. If the report is accepted by both chambers, the bill is then enrolled and sent to the President. If the report is rejected by either Chamber, the matter in disagreement comes up for disposition anew as if there had been no conference. Unless all differences between the two Houses are resolved, the bill fails.
