The National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism (MIPT) -  The National Memorial Institute for the Prevention of Terrorism, located in Oklahoma City, is dedicated to expanding and sharing knowledge to prevent terrorism or mitigate its effects. Originally incorporated on September 23, 1999 as a non-profit corporation in Oklahoma, MIPT grew out of the desire of the survivors and families of the Murrah Federal Building bombing of April 19, 1995 to have a living memorial.
