Circulation Access All Rowan University students, faculty, staff and alumni with a valid campus identification card are eligible to borrow books and other materials from the Rowan University Library.
Reserves, children's books, cassettes, videotapes, computer software, etc. are loaned as marked. Reminders will be sent for items overdue. Books charged out on
a personal identification card remain the responsibility of the
individual named on that card. Overdues represent a financial obligation, which must be met. Abuse of privileges will result in appropriate sanctions, including fines and denial of library services. Reserves of Faculty members will be listed alphabetically by faculty last name in the reserve notebooks at the Circulation desk on level 1. Ask the staff for items by call number and folder number. Reserve items may not be renewed. Overdue Reserve items will incur a .50 charge per HOUR. Closed reserves do not circulate. Minimum fine is $1.00 per book. (Example: 1st notice - $1.00 per book; 2nd notice - $3.00 per book; 3rd notice - billed for cost of book plus $6.00 fine; 4th notice - referred to collection agency with library privileges suspended). Overdue laptops, projectors, and screens incur a fine of $5.00 per day with no maximum amount. If you do not find the book that you want in the stacks and there is no record that the book is checked out, you can request a search to be performed by filling out a search card available at the Circulation Desk. A full search for a missing book may take as long as two weeks, but approximately one third of these books are found within one week. If you have not received notification concerning a search with 10 working days, please consult the Circulation Desk. Photocopiers are located on every floor of the Library. The cost is $.10 per page, most copiers do accept $1 and $5 dollar bills. Some photocopiers will eventually have Card Readers available to students. Inquire of our staff or call Laverne Hines, Circulation Coordinator at (856) 256-4802 or (856) 256-4978. |
