Biographical Databases - Databases that provide biographical sketches of authors, state officials, famous state residents, etc.
Historical Media Databases - Databases that provide online access to photographs, video, or audio.
Historical Newspaper and Magazine Indexes - Databases that index articles in older newspapers, journals and magazine that contain historical information. These databases will usually lead one to microfilmed items that may be obtainable through Interlibrary Loan.
Museum Collection Databases - Catalogs of state museum holdings which often have historical notes. Museums listed here are either run by a state or by one of the state's political subdivisions

FRED - economic country-level data for the entire United States - from the Reserve Bank of St. Louis
Economic Synopses - a series of short essays that provide insight and commentary on timely issues in economics, finance, banking, and other areas.
GEOFRED - from the Reserve Bank of St. Louis - a new data-mapping tool which displays color-coded data on the state, MSA, and county levels.
State Agency Guides - (GODORT-ALA) - In every U.S. State and the District of Columbia, agencies are creating databases of useful information - information on businesses, licensed professionals, plots of land, even dates of fish stocking. Some of this content is available on search engines, but much of it is part of the invisible web.

State Governors (National Governors Association) -

The database currently holds more than 800 entries and includes past governors from 17 states through Iowa, from colonial times to the present.
