Executive Office of the President
The President is the administrative head of the Executive Branch of the Government which includes numerous agencies as well as the 15 executive departments
(The Cabinet). The Executive Office advises the President, helps to formulate policy and performs the day to day operations of the President's agenda.
Presidential directives and Executive Orders (Federation of American Scientists) - Executive Orders are the formal means through which the President of the United States prescribes the conduct of business in the Executive Branch.
