Upcoming Field Trip - Duane Morris in Philadelphia - The MIS Club is taking its first field trip of the semester THIS FRIDAY, 11/13, at 1pm. The club will be going to tour the facilities of the law office of Duane
Morris in Philadelphia, including their server room, Network Operations Center [NoC], Help Desk, and an interactive Hi-Def Conference Center featuring computers that rise up from the conference table! According to their web site, Duane Morris has been placed in the "upper echelon of law firms in terms of utilizing technology" (http://www.duanemorris.com/site/about.html). Students will have the opportunity to ask questions about the equipment, and gain knowledge from professionals in the industry. This is a great opportunity to see information systems in action!

Our Mission
The Management Information Systems Club is dedicated to nurturing a learning community interested in the field of MIS by arranging guest speakers, trips, and events for its members. The MIS Club also makes giving back to the community within and outside of Rowan University a priority.
Benefits to Members
1) Learning relevant on-the-job skills through our hands-on, computer hardware/software oriented workshops. Our focus falls on specific skills supplemental to the MIS Curriculum.
2) Hearing the first-hand accounts of the nature of the technology job market from those have created the correct secrets for success. Hear how they did it, what they would recommend, or not recommend, and glean 'inside' information from successful people in the 'real world'.
3) Physically immerse youself in the real world job market, IT departments; see how your degree and experience function when applied in an actual job situation on our organized Day Trips.
4) Begin networking with other MIS students, professors, guest speakers, Rowan faculty and IT professionals.
