The Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation was established in 1967 in honor of our Fiftieth Anniversary. Through grants and loans, the Foundation assists members and their children to complete their education or continue with graduate studies. The Educational Foundation also provides funding for educational programs and leadership training for undergraduate members and advisors.

The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the official philanthropy of the Sorority since 1958, is the recipient of funds raised by chapters to support research to find a cure for Cystic Fibrosis and to improve the quality of life for the 30,000 children and young adults with disease. In 1992 scientists described the gene that, when mutated, causes Cystic Fibrosis; however, a cure for Cystic Fibrosis has not yet been found. In appreciation of the Sorority¹s fundraising efforts, the CFF named a research fellowship in honor of Delta Phi Epsilon.

Over one million dollars has been raised to date for the CFF through Delta Phi Epsilon.

The Edith Barash Stern Fund, established in honor of our past President, supports philanthropic efforts as chosen by Grand Chapter at Convention. By tradition, the interests of our young women are served, and since 1985, The National Association of Anorexia Nervosa and Associated Disorders (ANAD) has been an additional recipient of our fund raising efforts. ANAD is a national organization dedicated to alleviating problems of anorexia and other eating disorders. Its methods include education, newsletters, counseling, self-help groups, and providing funds for research. Delta Phi Epsilon is the first international sorority to pledge regular support to an organization concerned with the effects of eating disorders.

Aside from these and locally designated philanthropies, Delta Phi Epsilon members participate in campus events in support of their host educational institutions. Sisters are encouraged to participate in hands-on community service activities that will benefit their local communities. Delta Phi Epsilon manifests a social conscience and a willingness to think in terms of service for the common good.
