Rowan University uses an outside company for their trash disposal.  This company is McKay Disposal.  According to McKay's guidelines, these are the items that can be recycled.

COMMINGLED MATERIAL

- Commingled Material is any aluminum cans, plastic, or glass bottles (colored or clear).  All these items can be put together in the same bin.  They can also be put together in the blue buckets located outside if the residence halls even though they are only marked glass.

- Soup and other tin food containers can also be put in with the commingled material.

- You can leave the labels on the cans and bottles but the bottles and cans must be rinsed out so there is no food in it.

- Types 1 and 2 plastic are the only types that the school picks up. (look at the bottom of the bottle to see what type of plastic it is.)
