We hope everyone is having a successful semester. Thank you to all who participated in this year's Literacy Alive! It was an enormous success but it could not have been done without all of our members and volunteers.
Please take advantage of our annual professional development event, Mock Interviews! By participating, you gain valuable interview experience and can make great connections with real principals from local school districts. If you would like to participate in Mock Interviews on April 11th and 12th from 5-7pm, please register for a day and time at this link: http://doodle.com/q52a8awyqfdeqt73hr9fnmut/admin#admin
E-Board elections will be held at the next meeting, Monday, April 11th at 7:30pm in Ed Hall room 3091. If you would like to run for a position (you may run for ANY), please write a short letter of intent with which position you are running for and why you would be good for that position. You will use it to make a quick statement to the rest of the membership before voting takes place at the meeting. Please put your paper-based letter of intent in the KDP mailbox in the Teacher Ed Dept. on the 3rd floor of Ed Hall NO LATER than Sunday, April 10th by 11am (please do not email us your letter of intent).
We have meetings twice a month and anyone is more than welcome to join. We are accepting new members! Follow the link here if you would like more information. Please look at our schedule and feel free to stop by if you have any questions. You may also email us at kdp@rowan.edu anytime. We would be happy to give you more information about our chapter.
We would like to take the time to congratulate Nancy Fox on becoming an Honorary Member of KDP.
Chances are, somewhere along the way, a teacher inspired you to reach for your dreams,
encouraged you in your future education, or taught you a valuable life lesson. We would like to
invite you to share these stories with us in honor of the countless educators who put their hearts
and souls into teaching, touching lives, and making a difference. In honor of Kappa Delta Pi’s 100th Anniversary, we are compiling a book of short anecdotes,
stories, essays, etc. featuring teachers.
Submit your story HERE or pre-order your book HERE.
Also, make sure you take a look at our newsletters written by our Vice President of Publicity, Cathy Dyciewski every month. It gives you helpful information about upcoming events and what we are doing to better ourselves and our community.
If you have any questions about KDP or the upcoming events and activities, please feel free to contact any of the officers.
We love hearing from you and knowing that you are interested! You may also feel free to e-mail us here.
