Two programs are of particular interest to Biological Sciences Majors. The Sea Education Association's Sea Semester program includes 6 weeks of studying the chemistry, biology, physics, and geology of the oceans at Woods Hole, MA (Cape Cod), and then 6 weeks at sea conducting research and operating a 134 foot sailing vessel. Through an exchange program between Rowan University and the University of San Francisco de Quito, students travel to Quito, Ecuador where they take courses in Spanish and Biology, participate in ecotourism and conduct research at the Tiputini Bodices Station and GAIAS Institute in Galapagos.
