Attracting Women to Engineering (AWE)
Rowan University invites middle school-aged girls to Attracting Women into Engineering (AWE), a program designed to expose them to the broad field of engineering. Females entering the 7th and 8th grades in Fall 2012 may participate in any available session, during which they may work with and learn from College of Engineering faculty and students. The workshops will focus on hands-on engineering laboratory experiments and professionalism.
This is the 14th year Rowan will offer the AWE workshops. AWE has continued to cultivate young girls’ interest in engineering through a hands-on approach to engineering, exposure to diversity of paths an engineer can take and the impact an engineer can have in shaping the future.
There will be three sessions available in 2012:
Session 1: July 17
Session 2: July 18
Session 3: July 19
