The College of Engineering - Chemical Engineering

Transfer Student

Hello, Rowan Chemical Engineering ususally accepts a small number of transfer students each year into our program. The following links should help you through this process. The normal transfer process requires that a student take 3 additional years at Rowan to graduate. There is an alternate route that if a student takes 3 courses in the summer before starting at Rowan University, then they have the possibility of graduating in 2 additional years.

Rowan Course Equivalents These pages are useful to determine the Rowan equivalent courses. For transfer into the program we accept Chemistry I and II in place of our Advance College Chemistry I & II.

4 year plan (2 years at alternate institution and Summer + 2 years at Rowan) [Excel Spreadsheet] [PDF]
- We have recently added 3 summer courses to allow transfer students to graduate in 2years and 1 summer at Rowan. These courses are outlined on the excel spreadsheet that is linked to this file.

5 year plan (2 years at alternate institution and Summer + 3 years at Rowan) [Excel Spreadsheet] [PDF]
This is the traditional plan that most transfer students have followed. The additional year is caused by the 3 engineering courses requried in the sophomore year at Rowan. These courses can be taken at Rowan in the Summer and then a transfer student has the opportunity to graduate in 2 years at Rowan.
