Rich Curriculum
The Rowan Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) curriculum combines both electrical engineering topics such as telecommunications & energy and computer engineering topics such as computer hardware & software design.
Core courses taken by all ECE students include such topics as circuits, electronics, electromagnetics, digital design, microprocessors, control systems, communications systems, digital signal processing, data structures and computer architecture. Advanced senior-level electives provide opportunities to specialize in areas such as nanotechnology, bio-engineering, sustainable design, wireless communications, artificial intelligence, digital image processing, etc.
All ECE courses have an included laboratory component – we believe in hands-on, minds-on learning. Eight semesters of Engineering Clinic provide students with a team-oriented, multidisciplinary design and research experience. Rowan offers a Master of Science program for students who are interested in furthering their education. The Engineering Clinics in the Junior and Senior years are vertically integrated with our Masters’ program.
