The 2009 ASCE/AISC Student Steel Bridge Competition

Middle school girls were in AWE this summer at Rowan University’s College of Engineering. The largest group ever attended Attracting Women into Engineering, where they learned some fundamentals of the field.

Dr. Tom Merrill may not be a medical doctor, but health care is his pursuit. The mechanical engineering prof and his team at Rowan University  have set up shop at the South Jersey Technology Park to further develop a cooling catheter to help heart attack and stroke victims. Their goals: Preserve tissue and save lives.




Step into the CAVE in the College of Engineering virtual reality lab at the South Jersey Technology Park at Rowan University. There, Rowan students and professors conduct cutting-edge research for NASA, the U.S. Navy and more.




New Jersey roads are more than a punch line. The highly traveled highways and byways are serious business for the engineering students and professors at Rowan University, who are helping to make them safer in conjunction with the State Department of Transportation.
