Author Guidelines

Asphodels are hardy members of the lily family. Graceful, yet strong, the flowers grow wild in the New Jersey marshlands. Their presence shows us that beauty dwells even in the remotest of places.

The asphodel reminds us as writers that we, too, need to be graceful and strong as we practice our craft. That is why this flower serves as the title of the Rowan University literary journal.

We're looking for writers whose work brings to mind the asphodel: vigorous, exciting prose and poetry that makes readers take notice of the loveliness of language.
