1. Binge Drinking
Each consortium member will be required as part of their sub-grant prevention program to target prevention activities to educate students about the risks of binge drinking and its relation to academic failure, the development of alcohol dependency and addiction, risky sexual behavior, and driving while under the influence. Prevention activities to address binge drinking will be from the six key prevention strategies. Taking into consideration th
at there will be differences in program design and amount of other resources available at individual colleges, a average of 500 college students will be provided with prevention activities targeted at binge drinking at each college, a total of 8500 students statewide. The outcome measure of the success of the objective will be a 10% decrease in the rate of binge drinking as measured by the Core Survey.
