Each Consortium member college will be required as part of their sub-grant prevention program to target prevention activities to educate faculty and students about the role of alcohol and other drug abuse in student academic failure. Prevention activities to address the place of alcohol and other drug abuse in academic failure will be developed using the six key prevention strategies. Taking into consideration that there will be differences in p
rogram design and amount of their resources at individual colleges, an average of 500 college students, a total of 8500 students, and 50 faculty members at each college, a total of 750 faculty members, will be provided with prevention activities designed to address the relation of alcohol and other drug abuse and academic failure. The measure of the success of this objective will be a 10% decrease in the rate of academic failure items measured by the Core Survey
