Admissions Procedure

The first step is to make formal application to the University by contacting the Office of Admissions (856) 256-4200 and submitting a Rowan University application. All applications must be received by March 15 of the application year (i.e. March 15, 2004 for the September 2004 entrance). There are no extensions. At the same time, contact the music department for an application to schedule an audition. Meeting the University's requirement and a successful music audition are essential for acceptance to the Department of Music.

An audition with the principal instrument or voice to demonstrate talent and performance level is required. Placement tests in music theory (admission bearing) and piano (non-admission bearing) also are a part of the audition. To schedule an audition, contact Ms. Betty Jean Riebe at the Department of Music, (856) 256-4651 or email at riebe@rowan.edu.

Information can be found on the Rowan University Web site Fast Facts page regarding tuition costs and other fees.

If you have a specific question or need more assistance please call the Rowan University Department of Music @ 856.256.4555 or email the department's Administrative Assistant Ms. Betty Jean Riebe at riebe@rowan.edu.
