Need Your Computer Repaired?

If you are having a problem with your computer, NSS has technicians available to assist you. The fastest way to get your computer repaired is to bring it to the NSS Workshop, located in Memorial Hall South. If you have a desktop computer, just bring the computer itself. The other parts, such as monitor, keyboard, mouse, etc are not needed by the workshop.

If you do not want to bring your computer to the workshop, you can put in a work order by calling the Support Desk at extension 4400. Please note that machines are usually repaired in the workshop within 48 hours, while it may take up to two weeks for a technician to come to you.

Having a problem connecting to the Internet even though your computer registered successfully?
You may have a bad network port. Please try the following steps before calling the Support Desk:

1) Is your roommate’s computer on the internet? If yes, try plugging your machine into their network port. If your computer gets on the network, then the problem is probably with the port. Please call the support desk and a technician will get to you as soon as possible.
2) If you still can’t connect, try plugging your roommate’s computer (network cable) in your port. If their computer doesn’t work, then it is probably the port. Please call the Support Desk and submit a work order.
3) If your roommate’s computer works in your port, then the problem is with your computer. You can either bring your machine to the NSS Workshop in Memorial Hall South or call the Support Desk to submit a work order.

PLEASE NOTE
: The length of time it takes to complete work orders varies and can take several days. Work is completed on a first come, first serve basis. The time it takes to complete any repair is subject to the volume of calls.
