Changing Your Prompt Level
Prompt Level - Once you get used to the PhoneMail system and know what buttons to press when, you mostly likely will wish that the PhoneMail lady (whoever she is) would just keep quiet.  Especially when no matter what button you press, she scolds, "I do not understand this command."   You can press buttons in advance before she gets done with her sentence most of the time.  You can also change your Prompt Level from standard to abbreviated prompts.  (This is strongly recommended).

One-way speakerphone
The RolmPhone has a one-way speakerphone, which means you can press the line button (the one labeled with your extension) and do anything you would do if you had picked up the receiver, such as dial a call, check your PhoneMail, etc.  However, it is not a real speakerphone—you have to pick up the receiver in order for the person you are calling to hear you.

Select one of the rings by pressing 1-7.

Hang up.

Flash This is a lot like a hold button. When you are on a call, you can press Flash, which will put the current caller on hold.  Then you will get a second dial tone, allowing you to do whatever you are able to do with a regular dial tone.  To reconnect with the first caller, press the Connect Call-Waiting button.
