Dr. Gallia has a wide range of responsibilities, including serving as a liaison between key constituency groups on- and off-campus as well as facilitating a variety of projects and initiatives critical to the institution.
In his 40 years at the University, he has been a biological science and secondary education professor and has served three terms as a department chair and eight years as executive associate dean in the College of Education. In addition to his position as chief of staff/vice president for University Relations, Dr. Gallia holds the rank of full professor in the Teacher Education and Educational Leadership departments.

The Office of University Media & Public Relations promotes faculty, staff and student accomplishments and initiatives through a variety of means, including newspapers, newsletters and the Rowan University web site. The office also handles media inquiries and serves as the primary source of information about the University during a crisis.
